In 2019, Loomis Sayles expanded its municipal bond and SMA capabilities through its combination with McDonnell Investment Management, LLC, a fellow Natixis affiliate.
The move added highly experienced municipal bond investment resources to Loomis Sayles’ broader credit research and fixed income portfolio management efforts and further enhanced our ability to offer best-in-class service to our insurance and SMA clients.
Based in Oakbrook, Illinois, the Municipal Bond Team applies a disciplined, research-driven and risk-managed investment process to identify relative value across the investment grade municipal bond market. With a focus on high-quality portfolios, after-tax total return and principal preservation, the team seeks to deliver consistent execution for clients across changing market environments. Rather than rely on market timing, it manages interest rate risk through a repeatable, time-tested philosophy supported by rigorous oversight and proprietary credit research.
